There is nothing but consciousness
which is beginningless and endless.
The reality is the one infinite consciousness
which does not undergo any change.
The one infinite absolute existence or cosmic consciousness
alone is and it is not affected by the concepts of time and space,
nor is it subject to polarity or division.
This consciousness is not created,
nor does it perish;
it is eternal.
The whole world is nothing
but the movement of energy in consciousness
which appears as the fivefold elements.
Everything is dependent
upon the movement of the life-force.
Consciousness
becoming aware of itself
as an object
is known as mind.
The mind
is but the movement in consciousness.
Whatever consciousness becomes aware of
within itself, it experiences
(whether one calls it real or unreal).
The mind should rest in pure consciousness
as pure consciousness,
with just a little externalized movement of thought.
When one is firmly established
in the oneness of infinite consciousness,
whether he is quiet or actively engaged in work,
then he is considered to be at peace with himself.
When the mind is thus absorbed
in the infinite consciousness
there is supreme peace.
Who am I
who speaks, walks, stands and functions
on this elaborate stage known as the world?
Who is it that says 'I am' ?
I am the eternal self that is omnipresent and subtle.
I am pure consciousness,
not dependent upon the body
or anything else.
He, who imagines a limit
in the limitless, transcendent Self
has, of himself, put his self in bondage.
Bondage is bondage to thoughts and notions:
freedom is freedom from them.
The self is infinite;
why, how and by whom is it bound?
How could there be anything other than the self?
The wise person remains wholly centered in himself.
Be what you are,
equal in all conditions.
Remain in a state of total equanimity.
Look upon all with equal vision.
Remain at peace within yourself,
seeing the one infinite being in all.
Be established in oneness.
Know the junction of the sun and the moon
within yourself.
Remain in that state
where the sun has absorbed the moon into itself.
